Just got a quote from a guy who will re-trim all my interior (tweed) and seats with a lovely Z logo for £895.

How does this sound? I thought it was pretty good but its the first quote I have got. He has done 300's before which I like the idea of.

Depends what he's going to re-trim it in!

I'd make sure you get to see some of his finished work before you go ahead.

(Mine cost around twice that for two-tone leather!)

But that included the instrument binacle, gear lever and handbrake gators, lower dash, glove box, door panels, seats.......

james, i had a quote for doing the interior in leather, and it wasn't a lot dearer than your price, but it does depend on the quality of the leather etc, so it's hard to get a real comparison. My advice would be to stick with someone with proven workmanship and consider the price secondary to that. I've seen it done the other way round....brings tears to the eyes more often than not!

that's probably the nicest interior i've seen in a Z. Reminds me a lot of the 350Z i sat in a couple of weeks ago.

Cheers Dude, Trust me you guys go and see Chris at Custom Coachtrimming and he will charge you the same rate as me which were incedendtally MATES RATES £1,100 using Leather and Alcantara. He has a really good reputation and has been featured in all of the top mags for his work.

This is in leather look vinyl and believe me it is very hard to tell the difference. But I am getting a price for real leather also. His quote did include the complete interior, lower dash, glove box etc.

Here is some examples of his work.....

mmm, didn't like the 'dotted line' piping on some ofthose, but the quality looks ok. As him how he sticks down the panels to the sides of the rear seats - they're coming away in mine!

Mine cost £1,100 with real leather and Alcantara. See http://www.customcoachtrimming.co.uk

Jeez - that orangey red against the purple is a 'challenging' combination mate!

The idea is not really challenging at all as the Purple Chameleon Paint changes to a Coppery Orange, Look for yourself they certainly compliment one another.

Do you think this Chris at coach trimming would fit the zcentres kit? Im gonna do the seats but i think it best someone with some knowledge does the sides or u can mess it up.

I am 100% positive that chris will help you out to fit the Z Centre re-trim kit, but he is perfectionist and will tell you honestly if it looks Naff, because at the end of the day it is his reputation at stake and he will do the job for you to the best of his capabilities, Good Luck.....

thats good news..very good news mate, was gettin worried about taking it apart

how much do u reckon for just the panels and not the seats?

Best thing to do Robert is to give him a call I wouldn't wanna give you a price that was innaccurate mate. Checkout his website http://www.customcoachtrimming.co.uk good luck mate.

150.00 for a conolly hide, high quality stuff, 3 quid for some 3M spray glue and a couple of quid for super glue.

Retrimed everything that was tweed, steering wheel, and even top of dash near the clocks, and TBH could have done with a quater of the leather I bought so would have been half that price easy.

The seats you can get really nice covers like I beleive matty has fitted on his front and back seats recently (look spot on) and they are 400.00.

So my guess I about 480.00 materials (genuine, nice leather) and a weekend hard graft, surely better than spending 800.00 on vinyl!
