Are you sure its the imobiliser? Maybe a flat battery or battery terminals not connected etc? Just an idea:)

Some types of keys (like my Toad alarm key) will fit the socket 2 ways (180 degrees apart) but only one way de-activates the alarm.

is it an auto if it is it might be the inhibiter switch on the gear box,u can test this uttting a wire on the solenoid terminal the direct to the positive side of the battery if the engine starts its probally the inhibiter switch (ignition must be on) be careful only touch the wire to the battery if its the immobeliser it could short out the wiring!!!!!

Ibran,I have exactly the same immobiliser as you(Cobra)check the wire conections on the rear of the touch disarm switch,A wire may have come off.If you or anyone else have had the trims off,a wire may have snapped.I deliberatly cut mine to make it easier for me to take my trims off for access. They are very thin and fragile.Worth a look, hope this helps......Vinz

Try disconnecting the earth on your battery, putting some grease on the terminal and carefully reconnecting it after 5mins without it arcing from terminal to connector.

Same thing happened to me a bit ago and it took me ages to figure it out.

Apparently it has some kind of anti-surge safety feature that can only be reset this way.

Hope this helps.....
