Oil leakage in front of the car

Hi!

 

My 300ZX TT is leaking oil in the front just behind the radiator. Someone told me that this might be the oil cooler...., but it seems to me that the oil smells like transmission oil..its also red and cold..The oil that passes through the oil cooler got to be engine oil?? Or am I totaly wrong?

From where do this transmission oil come..? :confused:

    is it an auto? it may have an auto cooler fitted at the front for the auto box

    Same thing happened when my high pressure power steering hose started leaking. Might check your fluid level in the steering, it's red too. Mine never totaly blew out, but did leak for sometime before getting it fixed.
