But is anyone else really, I mean, really in debt cus of their Zed?

 

I afford to pay my loans and my cards and still live well, but I sometimes owonder how well off a month I would be without them!! And TBH, it mainly cus of the ZED? :cry:

I'm facing the same thing, not in the big city but in sodding Southend FFS. I have to live here due to it being one of the chepest places near work that isn't a complete dive.

 

I'm a bit gutted actually, stuck because as soon as i buy the prices will dive, if I don't buy I'll never be able to because the prices will never dive!

Love the car though, I still can't think of a better car for the price. When the bills get too much think about the poor saps paying £250+ a month for half of a deeply boring comuter box that doesn't make them half as happy as my Z makes me.

The fact of the matter is 'THE ZED IS AN AMAZING LOOKING, PERFORMING AND ITS PRESENCE IS SECOND TO NONE' IMHO.

 

And JD had one of the best points I think, I would onlg go out and get pissed or have something stoopid like a house instead of me Zed!

 

I am 26 and have been renting sicne I was 18 FFS!!! What with me debts and house prices, ah fook it, I'll settle for a cardboard box and me zed!!! LMAO!!!!

I dont have a Zed yet, but I have been looking at the costs. Compared to owning a Ford Focus (New, like my current car) I estimate that a Zed would cost me 2-3 grand less to own over three years, unless something disasterous happened.

 

I'm sure that a Zed would give me much more pleasure than my current 1.6 Focus!!!!

I only earn a bit under 20k

 

Mines cost about 7k, all paid up in cash no debt :D

 

Only debt I got for the Z is the 530 on my c/card I had to do this month.

 

I must admit though, parts arnt cheap, but if your willing to have a bash at it without paying theaving ****stains to do the work, then you will be ok.

 

Only real debt I got is me mortgage, 600.00 and month me missus pays the rest of the

bills :D

 

Not so good recently I have spent 700.00 on tyres in less than 4 months :(

Oh yeh and here's a funny one, ever since I've owned the Z, whenever I have been to a petrol station I have shoved the receipt in the ash tray, not to keep but just out the way cause I couldnt be arsed to put it in me wallet. Then it became a bit of a habbit, and its so jammed up with petrol receipts for over a years use that there is no possible way to get anymore screwed up in there.

 

Might have a read of em one day if i'm that sad and bored to see how much i spent on petrol in a year! Would be funny as **** to see

I plowed more money into my MG than my zed, about 10k alltogether I have receipts for, and what for? the oppunity for the dreaded rot to kill the a-pillers and chassis, so now its either 4k on a new shell or to break her, I'm looking for a shed to store the pieces in currently :(,

 

I love the zed, each descion I make for an upgrade takesme a while to work out, I want to do each thing once and make sure its the right thing each time.

 

I live in southend also, I'm looking for a bungalow at the moment, now thats a big expense, looking at about 180k for anything decent :(
