But is anyone else really, I mean, really in debt cus of their Zed?

I afford to pay my loans and my cards and still live well, but I sometimes owonder how well off a month I would be without them!! And TBH, it mainly cus of the ZED?

Anyone else out their in a similiar position? :)

Nelson, tell me somet I dont know!

I am asking whether other people are also in debt cus of their Zed?

I guess you have to be either:

1) Really well paid - say £30k plus

2) Over 30.....

3) Or rich anyway

to afford a zed comfortably!!! I mean comfortably, not easily, comfortably....

or 4) MAD !

I'm clinging on to my Z with my fingernails!! I'm on around the £30k mark, but living in London my mortgage on my ickle 1 bedroom flat is £700 a month, and the council mug me for £100 per month too! Once you add in the utilities, eating/drinking, fags, rizla (ahem) etc it mounts up BIG TIME! No fuggin way I'm getting rid of it though! I'd rather sell a kidney (should pay for a tank full! LOL!)

'Up North' you can live like a king on 30K

I earn £20k - so don't earn enough to comfortably afford a Zed

It's only because you live in England mate.

SERIOUSLY

Move to OZ and buy a Z32 over there and you'll have no worries!

P.S. Mark... is your boot (inside) standard or have a got a sweet sound system... coz i sware i've got pics of your car on my PC at home.

am at uni and earn about 6k working part time

already owe my dad 3k towards th car

By most peoples measure I qualify on all counts here, but it still hurts when you get bills over £4000! and a total mod and repair bill for the year over £12k!

I have friends and clients who suggest that I should run a new Ferrari on the grounds that it would cost less, but if you factor in the cost of having £100k of capital tied up on your driveway it still don't make sense to me, so I keep my zed! (and complain about the bills!)

- ya didn't think it was going to be cheap to run did you?????

i got rid as soon as mine showed signs of becoming a money pit....you have to face facts with a car not in production any more things are never going to be cheap for it and most of the people that trade in z stuff skank you as they know the z market will dry up eventually

ya5een how old are you?

Believe mate, I'd LOVE to move somewhere cheaper, but I've lived in West London all my life and the countryside SCARES me!!! What if I run out of Rizla (or anything) at 2a.m. or on a Sunday? Where am I gonna get any more? Oh, and I can't play the BANJO   :p

 number 4 for me

i'm not taking a salary at the moment and havent since xmas ......put it on the barclaycard

I too don't earn a fortune (manufacturing industry for you!) but I caught the bug FROM HERE

intended on a respray this summer paintwork shabby. Didnt plan for Lukes new spoiler, Wings West Kit, Dashboard stuff, Pods & Gauges, Turbo Timer.....

Minor Mods (filter & exhaust)

Praying that nothing goes wrong

Engine is staying standard for now (credit card cools down)

Im dreading the kit being fitted as then I'll have to convince myself that i need some nice wheels and theres nothing wrong with my tyres!

im 20, i would love to keep this car forever but realistically it doubt that il will be able to, i bought it cos i just love it and wanted to enjoy driving one for a year or two while im still (relatively) young

i havnt had to fork out a fortune on repairs yet but if it came to that i think id rather get rid of th car, the petrol costs hurt th pocket most but i do try n use th run around for half the week but sometimes its just toooo tempting

Very sore point, grumble. Family were thing of leaving these shores for OZ but then found out it was virtually impossible because I have hit 45. Grumble.

Fair play for giving it a go tho. Must be a killer at uni - all i did was destroy my kidneys, that's when i had a nova and even then i found it near impossible to run that piece of used bog roll.

It pays off though - now i can afford a mortgage and a Z, not bad considering i commute near 100miles every day. Great fun in the Z, always gives me a smile in the mornings!

However i did manage to park in into a pick up truck not long ago - only going 5 mph at the time. Needs a new panel and bumper now!

Word of advice - don't think your car is lower than it actually is....

1) Almost

2) Yeah ................37

3) Chance would be a fine thing.

Mortgage, ex-wife and kids to pay for, and all the usuall stuff on top + two cars to run ;) ..........................But plans are a-foot ;) :D

Ok im in about £10k worth of debt on the Zed, but im hoping i should have most of it paid of within a year and a half! But IMHO the Zed was worth every opinion!

Im a student and people thought i was a drug dealer when i first pulled up in Uni with it :D

Those looks where worth it!

People dont understand how cheap they can get to purchase but maintenace is where it screws you very hard!

Fas

The cars a definate money pit, but if I did'nt have it I would only piss it up the wall! ;)

being 21 the looks you get at traffic lights by suit boys in audi's & boyracers then blowing them away! worth every penny :D
