I know .. a 300zx with a towbar might look a bit iffy. I only want to move the odd motorbike about. Maybe on one of those racks which sit on the towbar.

I'm after one with a removable end so it looks standard when not in use.

I've done a search but the threads seem old and I couldn't get to some of them.

Any idea where / if I can get a towbar?

That doesn't look too bad at all! - I wonder if you can get all the bits for it ?

I thought there was an official 300ZX tow bar. I am sure there was

There was. There are bolt holes to fit one already (or so it says in the previous link)

Can't imagine there was much demand for them though

I got mine from Watling Engineers near StAlbans http://www.tow-bars.co.uk. Cost me £128 twelve months back, It doesn't look like the one in the link, it fits under the bumper/valance of my UK spec TT.

Its not kitemarked though (so officially illegal) but it pulls my 1.8m x 2.2 :) m trailor OK!.

official 300ZX tow bar.

Do they do a matching roof rack? How about some lovely woven baskets for putting the picnic in?

Whatever next

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

Find an old shity car thats been dumped, or a pikey wagon whilst he's passed out pissed, and take an angle grinder to the towbar supports, then go home, bolt it on and bodge it up with some bits of rubber and some used chwing gum. :D

Heres an idea! Why not cut a whole in the back bumper just beneath the number plate, so you cant see it when the number plate is on, (say a few cm shorter etc top to bottom) Then see if you can get a towing place to weld supports from back up to that point, put a towing plate flush with the hole. Remove gear and put plate on when not towing, remove plate and put gear back on and hitch up when you need. Don't think it's illegal cause you;ll have a plate on yur trailor etc??

guess you never clicked the links above?

Nah rarely do click links in posts, lol, assumed it was some standard caravan centre one or something, maybe i'll look next time.......:S

Brink used to make a tow bar for the Zed. The ball and post is removable and fits in a socket underneath the rear valence, it is virtually invisible when removed. Any good tow-bar centre should be able to supply it if it is still available.

How cool does that look. A Z and a jet bike. However, not sure about the "Lot's of breaking power" line at the end!
