I'm thinking of buying a second ECU as a spare, Baggins is selling a manual one in the for sale section, question is i've had a auto-manual conversion so can i use either or does it have to be an auto ECU?

    You'll have no worries fella. Found out the other day that my car is actually an auto to manual conversion (came as something of a suprise and might explain why the clutch is bearing up so well under the increase in power!;)) and I'm running a re-mapped manual chip with no problems.
