are saying that dump valves are a waste of money ,but i thought they were a good thing for the turbos

I have Blitz on SS hard pipes!!

Expensive?? Very.............. ;)

Matty.

doesnt sound too bad to me, but baileys tend to be a bit high pitched rather than a loud woosh.

Wez, yer Zed already has dump valves fitted mate, i think the reason why some guys remove them and fit after market ones is simply for the sound, the are easily adjustable and will sustain highre horsepowered cars.

Baileys valves are known to be quite cheap and at that price you have to ask why, other jap made aftermarket valves are a lot more cash and plenty of Zeds have em, very few in fact hardly any have baileys that am aware off.

Oh and the fitting kit, did they say what it comprised off ? bearing in mind we're talking 2 of everything here.

cheers

Fraid so mate, yer can't run 4 dump valves fella, all yer really need to know is what excatly his fitting kit consists off, does it place the new dumps in place of the oldies or as most do place the new dumps on the outer intake pipes in th engine bay, if he can mail you a fitting kit pic, can tell you then what's what mate

I asked him if they fit under the bumper or in the engine bay ,he told that they fit in the engine bay .Where are the standard valve

I had the bailey ones on my GTI-R and would'nt buy them agian, the reason is you could hardley hear them over the loud exhaust and engine noise, but i think it's all down to personel choice and what your looking for from your dumps, if you want performance and reliability then I don't think bailey add up to much.

but hey, thats just my opinion!!

i got mine from chris getgreedy think they were £312 very nice kit lots of bling they sit just behind the bumper so the noise comes straight out the front well worth the cash

umm I had a bailey evo twin piston d/v on my silvia running a t25 hybrid (standard on z I think) ss exhaust and a 5" tailpipe and it was bloody loud (also cost about 79 quid from bailey direct!! so i think this guy may be ripping you off?? try contacting Bailey direct matey.

as for the fitting kit all you need are 2 silicone t pieces and put them on the plenum end of the pipe from the i/c's

try either samco or sfs

Have sent a few (lots) of mails out today for a price on both kits & valves so will be waiting till Tuesday . But thanks for the only bailey positive remark, I'am only looking for a good deal

All the Baileys I've heard sound kak. In fact iirc my mate has baileys on his Z & they sound more like someone with a wheezy cough.

Go for TurboXS or Blitz if you want them loud, if you don't then I'd just stick with the standard recircs.
