Was wondering about this potential mod????

Would there be any way of venting the exit air on the Intercoolers, and then directing that vented air to cool the brake calipers?

Is there room to have some pipework to achieve this?

Killing two birds with one stone?

Just a thought Mark but, if you are looking to vent very cold are to the calipers, are you going to be able to vent it so that the air is received evenly by the caliper or are you going to get one side being colder than the other, hence causing problems?

Most brake ventilation systems cool only one side of the caliper!

I think the intercoolers would not heat the air up that much to not give a positive effect!

Speaking of cooling, had the intercoolers off the other day to flush out, anyone noticed the realy poor air ducting system from top of the wing to induction from arches??? absolute crap!!!! the end of duct sits at top of arch behined plastic trim!!!!!!

p.s, the IC cooling vents on standard bumper are ok, but no way would air/can air be ducted to brakes from there! too much in way!

Better off removing side clusters (not used on uk cars) and ducting air from there to arches if you can!

What about the plastic air guide venturi thingys on the series 2 onwards? They are supposed to drop the air pressure directly behind the ICs to suck air thru better and at the same time direct air towards the inner side of the discs. This was supposed to be a cheap brake cooling mod for earlier cars as well. One of mines has got cracked on a kerb but its otherwise intact. Have you got those?

Yes I have those but they don't exactly look like they are up to the job!
