took my car out last night for a drive

after picking it up from the garage

had the cats replaced with straight pipes

am very surprised how much more low down power there is

car also sounds much more beefy

£70 well spent

Do you know if you can de-cat (legally) a 93 TT? Seen a bit of traffic on the forum about this but nothing definitive. :confused:

if its import i think its ok on all years

Is there much power difference and was there something about this being bad for the tubs .If not we count me in for a bit of this :hyper:

Mine is a 93TT so there's no way I can legally de-cat mine unless I sleep with the MOT tester....FECK!!!

Don't tell the tester what year it is until he asks and when he does just say 1992. Or just tell him forcefully that he will pass the car (Know what I mean ????)

and the downside - (apart from a ruptured a**hole!) is that your turbo life drops as there is no back pressure - so start saving for some new thrust bearing tubs!
