hi all, how do i tighten a cambelt on a zx twin turbo?

This may help,if all timing marks allignend correctly,and the auto tensioner stopper bolt in place,do as in pic,then remove stopper bolt,remember to check tension on belts between centre of pulleys,should be no more than 5mm deflection,hope this helps,if not to sure then i suggest wait till someone on here can help further,Tony

 

ps,remove stoper bolt when done ;)

damn, i have to take the other sid'es plastic tensioner off, i was hoping to be able to do it with one side off (right side) reason is, it's got a bit loose i think and is slighly catching on the inside of one of the plastic bit's so need to tighten it up a mm

You mean cam cover do you ;)

do'h, don't know where my head is at today, plastic cam cover it is :)

anyone else had this experience where the cambelt makes a funny noise as it get's a bit loose and starts slightly hitting the cover?
