Standard Jap stereo - has anyone left it in?

My 300 has the standard Japanese stereo.

It sounds great and has a CD changer.

 

But it's not got a removable face or any other security.

It'd cost about £250-300 to replace it with a 'face off' one.

 

Has anyone left their std Jap stereo in and have thay had problems or no problems?

    I still got the original stereo with the CD unit underneath

    the CD unit is connected but there is only one power connector and that feeds the

    head unit!

    happy with it tho

    Ive left my CD player in the bottom slot so i dont have a hole in the dash!! but i took the std radio out as i got sick of radio 2!!!!

     

    Ive got a sony active black non removable motorised front jobby, never had any trouble though, then again the car never leaves my sight.
