Just in the process of fitting the fuel line kit from Smithy (great bit of kit) ;) , Ive fitted the two main braided hoses across the plenum, just two quick questions.

1 the bottom pipe on the fuel rail (i guess its air), one end goes to a box at the side of the battery, can I replace the two ends with one piece of red silicone?

2 Ive also got a small 2" piece of braided hose, where should this go?

Many thanks in advance

Barry.

The small bit is for under the throttle cable cover, a bit tricky to do but worth it.

Thanks for your help, I fitted it on the other side of the fuel filter! I will have another look tomorrow, but will probably leave it there. Its all plumped in, not started the car yet! will leave that until tomorrow.

Thanks again

Barry.

Was this part of the kit?

Mine niether!

Don't panic guys it's nothing startling extra, was once asked for a small extra 2in piece, cut about a dozen up and throw 1 in each kit now just as an extra really with no added cost, anyone who wants one just ask me at japfest

smithy

just fitted mine too and looks fab:D

Smithy mate, I'm gonna use mine for the other side of filter too, because that one is leaking slightly and the one under throttle cover isn't!

Perhaps you should start bunging in two short pieces?

Not a bad idea actually but I'm gonna place an order with you for some silicon in a few days Smithy, so just put it in with that.

Smithy,

If you haven't already sent the order off that I just placed can you slip one in with that please .. if you have sent it off already .. no worries

Chris

ALL fuel line kits done in past 6 weeks have it mate, so no worries

I now know where that little bit go's now and fookin hell there is no way I would be able to get my shovel hands down there to do that!! Is it really worth doing??

:D

I supplied cos i was asked mate, i know it's a twat to replace, long nose pliers does the job, or you can put it at the back of the fuel filter instead if you like :)

cheers

Sorry for bringing up an old post, but I am struggling to find somewhere/thing to plumb the air hose that comes off the FPR. Any ideas?

In the instructions, it looks as if it is suggested to plumb it to the AIV solenoid (which I no longer have).
