Ok, I was thinking, I'm currently looking to upgrade my 200sx (my 2nd s13) to a 300 ASAP, and I was wondering how many people have also followed this route ?

I went this route!!

200SX for 12 months ---> 300ZX N/A 3 weeks ---> 300ZX TT still got.

Why do you ask?

200SX's are a great deal of fun, I still wish I had mine as well as the 300ZX TT I have now.

Matty.

I'm not saying anything is wrong, far from it, I'm on my second and I agree they are damn fine cars, for the money nothing can come close but...

I only wish it had a few more of the comfort features, Leather seats, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Sunroof etc, bit more space for the driver (I'm 6'6")... petty I know.

Ok the real reason is My mate has a 2.2V-Tec Honda Prelude and it's just a little bit quicker !!!!!! now that's annoying !

I had a 200SX immediately before the 300ZX, and I thought it was great.

If you want to beat the Honda get someone like Norris Designs to mod it - I got the lowering, air filter, SS exhaust, chip and boost upgrades from them and it flew (actually got higher top speeds out of it then I've yet managed in my ZX)

Paul,

You're obvoiusly not trying biggrin.gif

Used to have a 1992 S13 Executive.

Got my 300zx, sold my 200sx needed dosh badly.

Now got 1994 S13 with feisty leather seats. Still standard my missus won't let me mod it.

Don't worry still got the Z, although it's parked next to Timmy's @ SE. I have an appointment with Pete @ SE this Friday evening for a chat about what we do with the Engine (ching ching!!).

I am currently harasing the guys on the 200sx forum along with a rare sighting of Timmy Turbo.

Love it! LOL!

;-)

Prelude VTEC2.2 quicker than a 200 Turbo, that does surprise me.

I short-listed both these cars before opting for large over drafts and 300zxTT

Now I wish I'd bought a Supra wink.gif

Like f***, just did Portsmouth to Grantham in 2 1/2 hours of leather armchaired luxury.

Get one Mister Munster, or forever have a strange shaped forehead smile.gif

I had a 200sx before my 300zx, kept it for about 3 years excellent car, never had a single problem with it in all of that time.

Sometimes i wish i had kept it and spent all of the money i have spent on the 300 on it.

Now that would have been Supercar!

Ian

Yes me to had s13 executive for 5 years not one thing failed on this car in all of that time.Just wish I could say that about me z.

Crazzie Eddie i have to ask, whats wrong with your car?

Yep - I had a 1991 200sx for 4 years - loved it to bits - couldnt resist a 300zx though...

Thanks Senna for recognising the Height / Herman Munster reference, I guess were all old git's on this board. Most people think I'm German ! Tsk, Tsk, the youth of today, maybe I should buy a Honda Prelude with some slippers and driving gloves instead !.

Cheers, Herman

Warren,

Basically my Z is mixing oil with water and I have sprung an oil leak somewhere.

Pete's having to take the engine out to suss out the severity of the problem.

One piece of good news, my clutch has turned up.

Will put a proper post after I have spoken with Pete about what we do with the motor.
