Balance bar removal

I am gonna remove and polish up my balance bar. Just wondering, if i should know anything before i start pulling pipes off and unscrewing stuff ?

    Its quite easy, just dont drop the bolts into the plenum or its not so easy then!:D and dont loose the rubber O rings either.

    Be careful when you undo and redo the bolts, cos they screw directly into the aluminium manifold, and have a tendency to.......

    A) bring the thread out with them.... or

    B) strip when overtightening when you put em back in

     

    Moral of the story.... BE GENTLE!!! :tongue:

    I could be wrong but i don't think you can polish the balance bar cos only the ends are aluminium, the bar in the centre is steel, that's why most have them chromed.
