You have to remember that it was the first one!

 

There have been so many other mafia violence movies since that it does kind of dilute the effect. I was going to watch it again myself, but I'm full of a stinking cold and decided to go to bed after about and hour and a half. I liked the second one a lot - don't remember too much about the third one - just that there's a lot more blood in it!

Godfather is really a classic mate ....
