i hope danny/stuart reads this cos he will probably be able to explain my problem to you alot better than i will attempt to.

big thanks to danny for running a conzult on my car at th meet last weekend, amazing bit of kit. all seems fine apart from lazy O2 sensors (surprise surprise!) and tps set at 0.2V

i know that the tps should be set so that the voltave reads 0.4V but that gives me a very high idle. dannny said the tps is set up right to compensate for another valve/sensor/something at the rear of the engine which also controls the idle.

where is this thing i am looking for? what does it look like, any pics please? will i need any special tools to get to it and what do i need to do to it?

thanx guys

this is the idle valve which I believe can be adjusted, I'm not 100% sure but duffer will know,

its the metal "pot" on the end of the rubber tube that runs along the side of the plenum

Idle valve isn't the problem. Try replacing the temperature sensor - had this a few times where it seems to work but not quite right so pushes the idle up... Replace that then readjust the TPS.

andy does the temp sensor control the temp guage on the dash cos that seems to work fine.

no thats the other plug next to the temp sensor.

mine runs lumpy at start up for a few mins if i change the tep sensor on mine will it solve it for me??? it only runs bad on a cold day but only on fist start up if its sunny and warm it never does it

if youre gonna do the engine temp sensor, i would get the harness too, as the terminals corrode which raises the resistance causing incorrect readings by the ECU
