theres plenty of nearly new cars for sale. Im guessing theres next to no miles on them and they are selling at or above the list price?

MAC I have seen at least 1 350Z for sale in the Western and Midlands Autotrader every week for the last 6-7 weeks, it's unbelieveable that someone would shell out all that cash out and then sell that soon. Maybe they aren't all that good after all ?

There are many people out there who have the money to buy a car and then 3 months later decide they dont like it.

Or they get sold to employees for a fraction of the price because it was a display model or the test car and they sell it on a few weeks later

Lot of the autotrader ads look like traders or importers to me, and the price is usually not far off list anyway!

Employees or cheaper fair enough, but surely if someone bought a car brand new of that value they would have test driven and read road test reports etc to make their decision. I like to change cars regularly but not with vehicles of that value, maybe i'm not earning enough ££££. Good point though maybe all the 350's we have all seen for sale are as you say SRAE accquired by people through their companys etc

I'm not sure what it is but i'm sure that one of the ones that I saw for sale was £19,950, don't quote me on that it was a few weeks ago in the newsagents I don't buy Autotrader it's boring, but I always have a kwik Squizz just to see what Z's and Skylines are for sale.

"Top gear magazine" made the 350Z car of the year did'nt they ?

I dont think their all that.

It got beat by its 15 year old predecessor the 300zx !

Have you seen their advert on the TV ?, its sh1te !

Hardly inspiring is it ? (B/W an all)

Come on Nissan you can do better than that ! Like those VW ads (very clever) and the Honda ad using all the cars parts (brilliant!)

I have seen one for £20,000

To be honest I would rather have the new Skyline isn't it a 3.5 litre V8 or something silly like that ? Not quite sure on the cost £24-£25k ????? and even though I think the 300zx has much better looks than any other Skyline 32, 33 + 34 I actually prefer the new Skyline to the 350Z plus the performance will be a hell of a lot better than the 350. Lets face it guys if an early to mid nineties 300zx can whoop a 350z's bottie then that doesn't really say much for it considering Nissan have had the best part of 14 years to develop this allegedlly awesome jap supercar that should technically out do it's pre-desscer the 300zx.

I'm surprised the 350Z is a similar weight to a Zed - even tho' it's smaller !! Trend is to make cars lighter surely.

If it was turboed, it wud prolly b faster than a stock TTZed, but I bet a modded 300 wud beat a modded 350Z.

I like the look of them and think they will be a seller!

Nissan are making a sports car to sell, not to beat the Z32 in a straight line, but I think the 350 would woop the Z32 on a track!

Nelson are you sure you got the weight thing right, I thought the 350 was a fair bit lighter!

The top gear thing was a farce though, you can hardly claim the 300zx tt is 'faster' based on that! ONE 1/5 mile 'race' ? driving error could of been the deciding factor there, and im sure the 350z would of pulled past the 300zx at 1/4 mile as it started gaining toward the end.

Anyone know of plans of a 350z twin turbo ? :)

Are you sure its not closer to 1.5 tonnes? Even though it has comparable power to a 300z it has less torque and that can be the difference in straight line stuff.

yea its 1.45 tonnes, I couldnt edit the post? odd

my bad :P

I guess lots of 350s went up for sale after the top gear fiasco! :D :D

Hmmmmm what is the price for a new UK car?

I have no idea Mac,but lets talk about how much they weigh, what is the quickest around a track and If you would have one

I heard a rumour that there has been a turbo kit manufactured for the 350z can anyone confirm this ? I don't really know which one would win around a track, I would say that the 350Z as stock probably handles pretty well but is it better than the 300 ? Does anyone think that lighter cars tend to handle any better than heavier cars ? I'm inclined to say that lighter cars perform better on tracks ? or do heavier cars stay planted in their tracks on corners. By now stock 300zx suspension setups surely have to be somewhat outdated by the 350z taking into account the additional 14-15yrs research and development by Nissan ? or did they really want to totally base the 350 on the 300 as they originally planned ? Comments ? I personally wouldn't have one I like my 2+2, small the rear seats may be, but never the less I gotta have back seats.

While the 350z has 15 years more development, it starts on the road at £24,000 (Have a Nissan price list here). Wasn't a 300zx about £40,000 when new 15 years ago?

Also, the new skyline is based on the same floorplan, with the same engine, as the 350z.

There are after market twin tubby addons, i think Greddy do one, Middlehurst Nissan have a supercharged 350, and they might also have a twin tubby one (dont hold me to that though). There are rumours of a twin tub 350 comeing out a year after the convertable which is March 2005 IIRC.

Dan.

There was a mag with a greddy TD05 350, but they only ran it at, if I remember right .5 bar. I think they did this because the block is not designed to take it?

Anyone know of plans of a 350z twin turbo ? :)

no but there is a company stateside doing a supercharger conversion allegedly!!

Saw one for sale in the Thames Autorader 2nd hand for £24k

There's a supercharged 360bhp one in a recent EVO mag. Apparently it's excellent. It's a stillen charger but can't remember which company over here did it.
