How easy is it to remove the standard cloth seat trim for cleaning? Is it possible? If so, can I just bung them in the washer with a bucket of Bold?

It`s not too bad, I removed the whole cloth trim on a previous zed and replaced it with a leather trim removed from a salvage car (the seat bases were unusable)there are stacks of clips and retainers and it helps if you are not in a hurry.Would be careful when washing though in case of shrinking.

Might be a better bet to remove seats from car and do a major clean as they are.One thing if you do remove the seats they are bloody heavy and be careful of the sill paint work as the runners are sharp. Jeff TT

Excellent - I'll try the "seat removal" approach!

Are the rear seats that heavy? they certainly dont look it.
