hi all any one got shorter gearshift and is it easy to exchange from the old one and ie..are they worth it,iguess its simple better acceleration due to shorter travel doh!!!any advice? :D

Dont have one, but it is a straight exchange for the old one. Have just done the bushes in mine (which involves taking the gearstick out and refitting it) about an hours work, buit fiddly and you will skin your knuckles :)

Change to a short shifter, the stock stick is a T piece, just weld another section of rod straight on the end and you have a short shifter, AND JOIN THE CLUB!

I got one feels great...did not notice much difference in performance though

takes about an hour to change quite fiddley

I dont think you get any difference in performance, less travel true but it can only change as quickly as your synchro's gonna allow you, if you have a knackered/slow box you will have to change as slow as you would normally to let synchromesh kick in.
