LOL They get a bit touchy about the rivalry with the 300ZX , been searching their forum.

Good lad Pete.

:D :D

I will be if-

1, I'm out of the fixator and my leg feels up to it.

2, If my Z is running well, you know how pi55ed off i was at the pod.

3, If i get all the bits i've got in the garage fitted.

None of these are excuses, I want to be there and waste a few GTO's.

Any idea on where this may take place yet Pete.

Rich :D

Who's up for this then?

My car should be running in April, then it's run in time and back down Souf for some serious maping

So depends on the date;)

Dunno yet - Santa Pod/York is the easiest, if we hired a runway like at TSC I guess the costs would increase and I wouldnt have a clue where to start with organising it (unless Matty wants to? ;) ) But it would be far better, also I doubt enough 300s would go to make it feasible :(

Great stuff Iain   Thats a yes then :D:D

Pete

If it's up north I'll be coming - should have new tubs and clutch by mid april! :hyper:

Havent you got to run in your engine first?

I notice a few comments about your laugh on there too Pete ;)

Pete,

Love that video!!! :D Might be up for this if I can get everything together in the car before summer. Oh, and get some new tyres at teh back. For some reason I keep sliding everywhere on 225/50R16's ;)

No Pete Serious mapping

Lol, I'll be there - if they get sulky after being trashed by a zed, imagine how pissed there gonna be getting trashed by a hairdresser :D :D

LOL at adamR.. if it's at the pod then I don't see it being the GTO guys who get all sulky as even in the summer most of the 300s seem to struggle to get off the line

Simular power GTOs vs 300s at the pod IMO = only one outcome GTO wins :D

slowest times for a GTO I've seen is in the 15s as for the 300s its nearer the 17s :p

LOL !!

but it didnt, did it!!!! the zed won

Looks like you've started a war pete :D best not give them a wave past if you beat them ;)

when I was at santa pod in the summer when it was a heat wave my best was 14.1 sec with standard boost a ferrari 355 run it in 13.9 the GTO's there all running late 14's 15's sounds like a good laugh, I better save up for bigger intercoolers :D

Personally I think equal BHP on a Z v GTO at the pod with identical drivers and trans' the GTO would win.

The only reason being Traction they have 4WD and we have RWD. The pod is slippy as fook and we all know this. A nice airfield somewhere like ipswich and we will have a much better chance BHP for BHP.

Obviously this is just my opinion and I'm entitled to it LOL !!!

its my theory that in good conditions RWD is best, 4WD is only really a benifit in wet/slippery conditions

1 - a 4WD system saps more power

2 - under hard acceleration weight is transferred to the rear of the vehicle (which is where our power goes down ;) )

how many 4WD top fuel drag cars do you see??

Which is exactly why we need to stay away from Santa Pod ;). we may as well have the comp at a local ice rink !!! :D
