Well this is truelly AWESOME and thanks Dunk I found it on your site.

I have just spent £££££££££££££££££££££££ to make my Z into a serious speed machine, however next year I am going to buy myself one of these.

I was going to get one this year however I am not made of money and the Z had to come first:D;)

I know from personal experiance just how fast busa's are  , but that vid just doesn't seem right to me.

Rich:D

A turbo busa will easily top 210mph on very low boost so 220 is no problem. Video is deceptive, you have 265-300 bhp into 200 kilos, and a very small frontal area! F1 cars have mega bhp but look like their doing 50mph on the telly.

I think you lot a confusing bikes with cars, there is no comaprison.

Agreed, as said earlier in thread i've ridden turbo'd bikes before and fook me when there set up right there amazing, but i just dont think that in the vid he is doing the speed shown on the speedo.

The difference between a car and a bike power to weight ratio is amazing, even the stock ZX6R is running 123bhp and weighs in at 161kg, so work it out for yourselves.

when i used to go to RWYB's on bikes i took a totally stock busa and timed at 10.6 over the 1/4 mile. There's not many stck cars that you could get a time like that, Especially for less that £8k. ;)

Well if he is, he has my respect, no way i'd be on one wheel at 140 on a busa! Now a gixer 1000 maybe but not a lardy busa:D

gixer 1000

I miss working for Suzuki.

Why do my threads get sooooooooooo big LMAO:D

Cos it matches your belly:D

OK LOL, First, thanks to Jez for lending me server space, nice one mate. Debbie Does Dallas is in the process of being uploaded............. (joke) ;)

That Turbo Busa vid is crazy, no doubt. But I too had doubts about the white lines flashing past..... But I put it down to poor quality of the encoding, framerate etc.

Clocks are deffo in MPH, KMH is in tiny numbers on the inside.

I also have a vid somewhere of a stock Busa, and this turbo Busa has changed his gearing from stock.

Speedo hits the pin @ 220mph @ approx 10,000rpm.

He then revs it to approx 11,100rpm which works out to 244.2mph?? :D :D

Anyone wanna build a Turbo bike? Go to http://www.superkaos.com and visit the message boards.

Holeshot Racing and Velocity Racing do turbo kits, just bolt them on to a stock busa and bingo, 500hp..... lol

I need to build one before i die and just blast the damn thing.

I wanna feel acceleration like that @ 180mph......

Hope this helps........

Robert

Hmmm...

I've been on the Nozomi in Japan and it was a very strange experience. You sit looking out the window thinking "well, this doesn't feel like 300 klicks" and then you suddenly realise that the scenery going past at Pendolino speeds is actually twice as far away as you think it is... and then you cross a bridge with high stanchions and you cack yourself and move AWAY from the window.

This is before I'd tried 140 in the Z (on a private track, of course.) Now everything else seems slow!

Now because watching a video is such a detached experience, I think the same thing might be going on here. As with the f'wit in the skyline, the gears etc seem about right.

HEH.... yes mac. That 21mb vid is even more impressive. The best thing is you can see the rev counter move faster when he ups the boos from 6psi to 13psi.........

Oh... I got a dyno run MPEG of that Busa....... 10psi.......384 RWHP :D nice..... will upload it if anyone wants me to????

384rwhp sounds like another US claim:D Come on then let's see it Dunk;)

Only 384? There are turbo kits on for the Hayabusa which can give a potential 500bhp

Haha! I think you could well kill 2 birds with one stone if you built one of those things... :D

OK getting well boring now. Can a bike be built to go very very fast - yes! obviously!

Is this a video of one doing that - doubt it very much

Do F1 cars look like they're only going 50mph on the fast straights - only if you've just snorted a kg of coke! - they look like they're going 200mph (unlike this bike!)

Are we a bunch of sad tw@ts for getting so wrapped up in a top speed argument - undeniably

Can I believe that I wasted my 1600th Post on this forum on this subject !

NO!

Yes...384HP @ 10psi.... not bad really??

The long vid he uses 13psi.... so that is well over 400hp.

Pretty good for a 1300cc four banger.... lol

EDIT.... will upload dyno clip and a couple more when I get 5 mins...will be worth the wait, I promise :D :D

Is that "at the wheel" lol?

I really doubt there is much difference from engine power to wheel power on a chain driven motor bike.

It wont be 30% like I have seen or even 12% for some manuals, it will be very low, probably less than 5%
