Hi All.

A while back I posted info on a problem i was having on the stability of my Z. The problems seemed to be from the rear. The mechanic has now checked the car and found play on the passenger side rear wheel. HE reckons it's the rear stearing rack? Is this a likely source of the problem? I have sourced a rear steaking rack from a local jap engine breaker. My car is a 93TT (UK), whereas the rack is of a 91TT Import. Are they the same?

My drivers side rear wheel had play in it turns out was is the steering arm about £40 from nissan .

Don't know if they are the same???, But I had play in the driver's side rear noticed a worn ball joint that joins the rack arm to the hub, this cost £51.00 from nissan. I've still got a bit of play though looks like the bushes need replacing as well!!

This is odd I had the drivers side wheel off the ground today and can feel the same movement (lateral) in the wheel, about 1mm or 2mm the movement is definately where the track rod end is fixed to the hub by a bush

is this bush available seperately? is there an allowed tolerance of movement? will check in the workshop manual later and repost any info. Jeff TT

The trackrod end and the steering arm are both seperate parts and the amount of play is ment to be zero!
