Just tested the car with the speed convertor removed..

Pulls like a train all the way up to an indicated 185kph at which point the limiter cuts in (very odd feeling.. it's so soft you'd hardly notice it apart from the fact that you're not getting any faster anymore)..

Perhaps a busy dual carriageway wasn't the best place to test it mind you biggrin.gif

Nobody seemed to mind... Then again, I imagine it was something like;

"What the hell is that coming up the outside lane?"

"Dunno dear, it looks li..."

"Too late, he's gone"

Too right! Plus I still have that spare box to cannibalise for bits should I ever need it..

But yeah.. Boy am I glad it wasn't the box..

CheerZ,

Andy

Hehe yep, why did I ever doubt you ? smile.gif

Noticed while I was under the car that the tranny sump has no sump plug (thought that was only the later trannys.. perhaps it's had a new one already).. Also the oil lines look like 5/8" ID lines, onto barbed connectors.. piece of cake to change & fit an oil cooler then..

My oil leak seems to be the crank main seal, given that it seems to sort of splatter outward in a patter from there... And boy is there a lot of it on the bottom of the car! (Most of which has now been cleaned off, by my t-shirt.... biggrin.gif)
