GuyZ, we all know that BlitZ, HKS, Mongoose etc. etc. etc. do a decent system for our cars. But...I was thinking about other exhaust manufacturers, I made some enquiries about Sebring the other day but they don't do anything for ours, which is arse considering they supply Porch etc.

Do any of you know of any other makes besides the usual run of the mill that will go on a 300???

B&B Triflo..soundwise nothing comes close to it.

ask Danny..he heard mine from the outside and inside of the car.

-Eric

two others that are less mainstream.: Remus (mufflers only, sound and look nice though) and Strosek (sounds a bit raw)

CheerZ Eric mate, didn't realise that Strosek did an exhaust for the mighty Z? Have they got an official website? Off for a look.

im nto being funny but i have heard a b&b triflow and i recon my single sides two into one super dragger has a nicer sound

GuyZ,

Trust me (and Eric) when I tell you that I have never heard anything as sweet as the B&B Triflo that Eric has on his Zed. I have fallen in love (don't tell the girlfriend) and if it weren't for seriously depleted budgets (and the fact that I'm currently "gainfully" unemployed) I would get one ASAP. The only thing the comes close (but is in a completely different league) is the sound of a Ferrari 355 at full throttle - I wet myself everytime one comes flying past... wink.gif

Cheers!

Dan

B&B !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile.gif

That's the only thing I miss about my Z - the B&B exhaust note.

nah mine rocks (who wants there trax tickets, cause you only get them if you say my exhaust is nice lol)

are they expensive exhaust and what is so great about them, any pics?

If I read that correctly, there's no B&B for a 2+2 Turbo. Am I missing something ?

Looked at B&B's page a few days back and it was very confusing ....

They DO have one for the 2+2TT.

I think it's basically the same one as the one for NA, but with mufflers for the TT

Nothing can sound as good a my twin Super Dragers.

Especially as they are blowing from a hole in each pipe! biggrin.gif LOL

heh... Trust all the way. I've been in DamonZ's car (ya know the dude who runs tt.net) and Kyles car (ya know the one which had the quickest qtr time in the states)

Both were loud as f**k inside the car, droned unbelievably at 2.5k. Both were B&B's. Both were hideously expensive.

I've been in countless Z's and I'd have to say the HKS Turbo Exhaust sounds nice with the cats removed. For a 2+2 nothing is as smooth as the Trust Power Extreme II single (it is THE smoothest exhaust note full stop). But this ain't avaliable for a 2seater frown.gif so I chose the Trust Power Extreme. Very very nice.. quite loud outside the car but the thick exhaust tube construction mentions no resonation / drone inside the car. And it sounds ungodly WOT at 7 grand in 3rd gear.

Not many people like the big f**k off exhaust cannisters though.. its not subtle by any stretch ! I think if Trust did a B&B type dual oval exhaust tips they would've had a winner.

I've got a 2+2 N/A and was curious if the B&B Duals for it perform and sound as well as the TT B&B Duals as seen here :

Because they look extremely nice and you all are speaking of them as very good performers in power increase.

Also, does anyone know if the B&B duals for the NA would fit through the Stillen SMZ Rear Valance seen here? :

On a NA the B&B's are even louder !

but an aftermarket exhaust on a NA can negatively affect the power in the lower rpm-range (because the backpressure is less).

here are pictures of the B&B dual oval on a 2+2

I don't think the dual oval will fit through Stillen rear valence...maybe the single tip version does.

Phuong probably knows this ?

Hi,

spoke to a Guy about 6 months ago in Sainsbury's car park, who was driving a white TT with Quad upswept DTM's.They looked marvellous...don't know what make they were though! wink.gif

HKS Super dragger lol

Guys, lets get a sound off at the next meet, and decide this once and for all.

I have been running Remus back sections for about 5 years now.

http://www.remus.at http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/membersZs/RainerKopplin/koppli2.jpg

If someone can tell me how to insert pictures I could put one here for you.

They make exhausts for F1 so they have some idea about performance exhausts.

On normal (whatever that is) driving it has a lovely purring sound, not that horrible non descript drone that I have heard from virtually all the other aftermarket exhausts, in fact there is very little drone at any speed / revs.

The sound is something like a cross between the old 3 litre V6 capri (not the 2.8)and a small block V8.

The exhaust is stainless throughout there are two twin 78mm ovals on each side. The tips are chromed and still lovely and shiny.

They are available from Elite in Rainham. Wheel-base.co.uk also have them listed.

See you at the sound off.

Grant

Not unless you enlargen the opening.
