Sorry if these questions are thick, but it's the way I get a little bit of knowledge. Everything helps.

 

I took a couple of photos under the car when I was investigating my rusting back box, and just out of interest wondered why the bolt in the picture looked wet. I haven't looked any further, just wondered if it was normal, or there is something leaking somewhere, or just water dripping down because of the rain. Everything else looks dry.

 

 

also the wet looking patch in this photo on the arm, what could that be? Any help much appreciated.

No- my pin-sharp diagnostic skills had already worked that out.

 

Ok Ok, what I mean to say is when I looked under the sodding car and saw a whacking great hole in the exhaust because I could hear it blowing. (:))I was kind of trying to see if anything else was liable to fall off- 'the exhausts going anyone else what to go now, hmmm??? come on, let's be having you, if you REALLY don't like it under there, it's YOUR choice, I won't say anything...'

 

I gingerly tapped the rusty bit. That was the extent of my mechanical knowledge coming into play.

Rich mate that wet suspension bush / bolt question has any easy answer, at the very least the two lower bushes look new ( usually more compressed with age than they are), they have been changed and the wet look it most likely after effects of oil or grease put on them when fitting.

Jeff did you get my cheque ? Also I need you to have a look at the oil leak from some where around my oil filter. My car has also sprung another problem, with the extended filler neck on the wide arch kit that taps into the fuel tank when I am driving along or going around a right hand bend my car is dumping loads of petrol where the fuel is swishing around in the tank, also when filling up at petrol station if you don't hold the fuel pump in exactly the right position fuel P155ES out from the filler neck. Do you think you would be able to help me ???
