On me way up to top speed challenge 2day, travelling in a convoy of three I was following at the back got a pull off undercover police in a bmw :( got read me rights before me foot was out the car! was'nt nailing it just a steady pace it was 7am on a single carrage way, he said i was doin 82mph in a 60mph, dunno where he come from tho :shock:

I thought unmarked police cars are not allowed to catch people speeding. Ask for proof for your speed.

He had some digital device that worked out the average speed, and apparantly had a camera fitted

Not true,

 

All of the forces use umarked police cars. There is a pure white Jaguar X type that patrols the M6 motorway and has caught many an unsuspecting motorist unawares!! :(

That's disgraceful, you are a true threat to all other road users and to road safety in general!!!!! :D

 

What a fiasco. 90% of the drivers in the UK NEVER stick to a 30mph limit unless they are near a school or in a built up area, then they crawl at 15-20mph (as they should).
