My OSF dipped headlamp is not working. Bulb OK, fuse OK, tested Relay - OK, but the earth does not switch "on" when it should do, hence the failure.

It's a black and pink cable which disappears from the relay pin "1" with all the other cables down the front of the car.

Anyone know where that little cable goes next? To another wiring connector? To the H/L switch directly or somewhere else?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers.

Matt.

hmm, not checked on a zed wiring diagram, but i would have thought a permenant earth with a switched live is more likely?? sure youve not just got a poor / broken earth?

Thought it was a switched earth  , but I could well be wrong.

I did a bit of measuring with my voltmeter, and got 2 pins that were permanently live, ie withought the lights switched on, and thought the earth switched to complete the circuit when you turn the lights on, activating the relay.

I've looked at the wiring diagram, and apart from reminding me of spaghetti, didn't do me much favours.

Cheers,

Matt.

i know that suzuki have a live to both sides of the bulb and switches one to earth (found this out when fitting driveing lights) not sure on the zed tho.
