After several disscussions and searches i have decided that the main problem with my Z (Blowing/cracked? manifold) is going to require removal of my engine or some other way of gaining better access to the exhaust manifolds :(
I have read on this forum that there are a few ways of removing/lowering? the engine in order to get to the problem. one way mentioned was to lower the engine by dropping the front suspension subframe (sounds easiest) and engine together.
Do you guys reckon this is my best and easiest option to get to the manifold ?
I think i may be able to get to the bottom 3 nuts on the manifold from under the car with engine in, however the other 3 look nigh on impossible. Maybe if i could get that manifold heat shielding off i could at least see them ! Is this feasable ?
I just want to try and pull the manifold off complete with turbo and associated parts then slip in some new gaskets.
Thoughts?, please .
