Right, well I got the chance this morning to put the remaining panels back in the car, before the wind got up.

 

Well I'm not entiely happy with it, but they say that you are your own worse critic.......... errrrmmmmmmmm we'll see. Have sent Luke an e-mail to quote me for a FULL leather re-trim, but I'm deffo having the seats done anyway.

 

Comments please, constructive ones would be nice but I know that I'll get some non-constructive ones as well :slap:

 

So I know the following...... The grass wants cutting, my patio chairs have fallen over, the carpets want cleaning and I've got a pack of POLO in the dash :D

 

They are a little big, hence as attachments only.

Only one thing I can thing of to improve it is either change the red wire to black OR and I think this is the better option, continue the red wire in the rest of the trim. Because at the moment to me it looks like the doors don't belnd with the rest of the interior. But I really do like the red piping. Maybe you should get black seats with Red piping as well that would look the nuts ;)

TBH Stuart, I was going to go for Black leather with dark red center panels and red piping :D, ran out of red wire, so gona get some more for the rear cards. What the pics dont show is the center console lid and the NS rear panel, they arnt too good :( .

Was really happy this afternoon, cus it's been the first time I could take her out in over a week :D, with the re0trim, new stereo and phone kit, also got the new rear fog switch in as well, just gota wire the fogs in properly now (moron who wired them in before took the LIGHTS bulb out :xxx: )

The centre console lid is the second worse bit, 'cause it's so hard to get rid of the surplus leather. What you could do with is a hand brake gaitor. Just unpick your old one & use the bits as a patern.

The hardest bit to do neatly is the smallest panel next to the left of the glove box.

 

Get to work on that gaitor mate, it's a peice of piss, as they say. ;)

What did you use to retrim yours ?.

Is that leather or vinyl and where did you get it ?.

 

I'm thinking of redoing mine now, because the stuff I used looks a little dirty if you know what I mean .

You lot have got me wanting me to do something to mine now while i'm off the road.

 

I like the look of alcantara or the series 2 cars, so if any one decides to do there and they have s2 interior let me know and i'll do a PX on my s1.

It's leather Stu, I got a load of scraps for £40. I can get it for about £130 for a hide which might just about do the job but I can't be certain 'cause I did mine a panel at a time & like I said it was just a big bag of scraps.

If you want leather & you can't find it cheaper than that, let me know & I'll get hold of some for you. Got some colour swatches as well. ;)

By the way Stu, my compliments on that little glove box side bit. Your the only one I think that looks better than mine :D
