Antbody fitted re-conditioned auto box

Hi Guy's

My Auto Gearbox is giving up the ghost, ok in first and second but doesn't drive when switching to third.

Phoned local Transmission dealers and they are quoting £850+vat fitted, for a Re-conditioned box.

Does this sound reasonable and has anybody had a re-con box fitted, are you happy with it.

Any info much appreciated.

    That sounds incredibly cheap...

     

    Going price is usually over a grand for the box alone..

     

    See if you can get info off the place on what it came out of, mileage and so on.. See if they've worked on Z's before..

     

    Personally, I'd be a bit worried at a quote so cheap - but you could just be lucky..

    I had mine reconned and it cost about £1500 plus fitting ...
