Does anyone know if you can use a skyline gearbox to add a gear to the Z? I dont want to lose the cruising ability but i want a closer 'box so i want an extra gear. i know it isnt the same thing but they do it with the vauxhall 6-speed from the calibra turbo (with some relatively simple mods) so is it possible? anyone done it? any other box's i can use? or can i have a gear added to the standard box?

Dont know if this has been discussed before but i cant find it on here by searching. I just keep getting stuff about speedo's. any help/advice appreciated. :)

you cannot use the skyline box, its for a 4WD transmission, no idea if there are any other box's you can use, i vaguely recall hearing about a nismo 6 speed but i couldnt say for sure.

HKS do a 6 speed box for the Z32 - £4,500 I think plus tax and shipping and God knows what else.

clarkey: i know its for a 4wd, but so is the calibra box. they use some conversion plate or something and it is then a fwd box. was wandering if this would be possible on a skyline box?
