Does anyone know what the battery number is, as mines given up.

Just measure the footprint (the height will be lower on a new battery, may have to shim up the battery or use spacers at the top of the threaded rod) and get the highest output that will fit the footprint.

I got a Bosch Silver (about 75 A/H) for about £45 from Costco

I know an 096 is an 069 with the termials the other way round so if the 069 is wrong way then 096 will be right.

If you reckon getting a zed battery is a struggle go ask for one for an MX5 import, that should get them in a tizzy!!!

Had to put two lengths of wood under mine, as a temporary measure, till I can find somthng permanent. Couldnt spacer the tops, because the terminals wouldnt reach down to them.

or get a tap and die set :)

been looking into this this morning. the 096 will not be tall enough and the 069 has the terminals wrong way. i reckon the 068 has all the right stats. going to bring my battery cover into work tomorrow to see if it fits. I'll keep you posted.

b0ll0x, looks like someone thrown out or hidden my battery cover if anyones got one they can measure id appreciate it.
