Rich

seem to remember this being discussed before, i think my j spec auto has the stop on it, some had a nut u could wind down to let the linkage go further

No it ain't a US thing, the UK/Jap import models have this problem as well! Dunno why maybe just a flaw in manufacturing/final adjustment? Had to adjust mine.

Ok mate better check mine when she comes back,as I said PaulG's was ok was fully open before it hit the stop.

Yeah that was done a while ago. Remember that American made a fid of it, and his engine stalled when he let off. I have this nut and I didnt notice any difference. The pedal went down slightly more but that was it.

mines a uk & also had the stop, adjusted it but also felt no difference TBH.

off track a little, i remember my tuning days af the A series in the mini where skimming the throttle butterfly to make it thinner was supposed to be good for 1-2bhp!!! :D

Has anyone done this and meassured the Volts of the TPS before and after. I reckon it will effect that a fair bit.

If you don't have the screw, it's easier to just bend the stop tab on the throttle cam instead, you can always put it back then if it makes things worse!

........ and his engine stalled when he let off. .

Yeah, I noticed that when he backed off the revs dropped to ZERO for a while. That should teach him for having an interior the colour of baby shit!
