tyre pressures please

I have a Jap import 300ZXTT with tyres all round at 225/50-16. Could someone please let me know the correct tyre pressures please. My owners handbook (at least, i think that's what it is) is in Japanese only and sadly, my English is only just passable let alone all those wierd squigles and things!

I also have a Jap with 225/50s all round, I run them at:

32 psi Front

35 psi Rear

Hope this helps

For a UK spec TT should be front 33psi and rear 36psi = Normal & Load...according to Nelson as I had to ring them aswell.

Not sure about de imports!

;-)

I am sure that the imports will have the same sticker on the other side of the door on that little compartment behind the handbrake. The middle arm rest thing

I have aftermarket 17" wheels with 225/40/ZR17 Front, 255/40/ZR17 Rears.

What should I run these at?

I seem to have to put around 45 psi in to stop them looking and feeling flat...

Is this normal?

I was once told that the tyre pressures are set by the manufacturer of the car, nothing to do with the tyres themselves.. The pressure is 'that amount' so that the weight of the car is supported properly, handling is as the designers required etc.

But as a general rule, the 'right' pressure is in the tyre when the correct amount of tread is in contact with the road..

I would have thought that whatever size wheels & tyres you have on, that the pressure would be as per the manufacturers specs though..

Bigger wheels and tyres might need more air in them but the pressure should be the same in theory...

If I only put 32 psi in my tyres they look flat and tramline on anything on the road.

Zeds ae very sensitive to uneven road and the wider the tyres the worse it gets. Having the tracking absolutely spot-on makes a noticable difference.
