cam timing out

Just found out when taking the old timing belt off that it was quite a bit out, the cars always felt fine to drive for the last 4 years LOL so hopefully putting it right will free up a few more horsies for the white mean machine this year :D

has anyone else had a belt fitted incorrectly but the car still drove ok?
