Mac,

I think Mark was referring to my comment about the Diabolo using the Nissan lights. Shame that he didn't realise that the comment was 'tongue in cheek'.

Guess I better buy some new Bullshit Deflectors!!

Tim :D

Hmm, cheeky!!

The lights are bad enough without putting a cover on them IMHO;)

was gonna say exactly that

The lights are total bobbins, functionally speaking, but they look great IMHO. In fact, they pretty much -are- the Z - you see that in your mirror, you get out of the way.

For that reason it's one of the bits I wouldn't personally mess with, they're a fundamental part of the look!

(Says me... I inherited the world's strangest front on mine.

Sorry I think you wearing the butshit deflectors the wrong way round. They're also imparring your vission I'd take em off and reread the post.

P.S there's no sheep round here, just cows. Anybody got a stool

BazzaJG told me he had got some great bulbs from Demon Tweeks I think. Hopefully he'll spot this thread and give us more details.

I have a UK car and found the lights were cr*p, bought some PIAA Xtreme white bulbs (H3-55W) produces 110w, made a big difference. Driving down country lanes at night isnt an issue anymore. Does say there not for road use and they cost about £60, but well worth it.

I'd advise fitting a relay if you're going to u/g bulbs to 110w variants, otherwise you risk cooking the loom to the lights.

Tim,

Is there a risk of this? I presumed with them being 55w they would be ok. Well, summer is nearly here, wont need them as much.

Barry.

Hi Goit, welcome,

I love the Z lights standard as they are and the pic Mac posted with the headlight covers shows how they can look truely awfull. But the look of the one you've done , if it could be made to not look like a plastic bit stuck on , i like.

;) ty

I don't think I'll put one on, but I think I'll try to make one just to see what it's like :)

I'm looking forward to becoming a fully signed up member :D

I may have been a bit sensitive earlier, I can take bein' called a granny beating sex offending f*ckwit and take it in good fun.... but a 'max power bad boy'... that's harsh ;)

AFAIK I know the whole deal with the PIAA bulbs is that they only have the equivalent current draw of 55W bulbs, I ran them for a year, no hassle.

In fact the only problem that I found was being able to see things approaching more quickly at night  ... Ignorance is bliss, after all.

Best mod I ever fitted to my Z .. actually, one of the only ones I ever got round to fitting lol - but that's a whole different story!

CheerZ,

JB.

Good question, Glynn, it's lying dormant in Birchwood Nissan, awaiting it's PDI (frustration!!!).

Awaiting Wednesday pick-up  :hyper:

Don't worry, full report (and flame retardant suit) lined up for Wednesday pm .. ;)

CheerZ,

JB.

Sorry mate, that looks utter cack.

Someone did this to a Z back in 2001 - it won an award (Max Power Show @ NEC) - nuff said!

eek nice friendly forum :/

btw im 33, married with Three kids and fairly good taste I like to think, after all I am buying a zed in the first place.

Constructive criticism would have been nice, not presumptious derisory comments.

Just because I'm not overly fond of one facet of the car doesn't mean I don't love the rest.

Jeez are you lot this abusive to regulars on the forum with more outlandish mods than what I'm suggesting? I mean I'm hardly talking about a veilside kit am I?

and a HID setup is the way I think I'll go.

Good to see another enthusiatic Zed owner about.

I would suggest running the car for 6 months, see how you fit into it. In this time do a lot of research, to see what might be best for you.

There are a lot (sorry loads) of zed stuff about, and somebodies already done it ... somewhere.

Edds.

 & double eek @ the Lax Bowels show winner - the more I look at the standard Headlights the more I see them I realise I may have been 'horrifically' wrong. Supra rear lights :nono:

First upgrade I pick up tomorrow :D some nice new 18" OZ Super T's with Michelin pilots for £400

make 'new' 'nearly new' :)
