This car is for sale over at leeds:

300zxtwinturbo

1990g, 300zx 3000cc twin turbo, 2+2 t bar, 4ws, 61,500 warranted miles with auction sheet (japanese hpi report) and

service history, in red, ac, stereo, em(inc. fold), abs, cruise, ps, cl, e/seat, ew, 12 mths mot, 6 mths tax,

very good condition, standard alloys, after market exhaust,

£4995et arrival end may 2001

And a chap called Tooko from veilside sent me this email in response to a question regading the Kph/mph converter screwing up the Hicas and AutoBoxes:

"Dear Glen,

Thank you for your email. All our cars do indeed come with 12 mths Mot and 6

mths Tax. Due to the age of these cars they do not LEGALLY require to be in

MPH for MOT purposes.

However, if you do want the clocks to be in MPH you have two options.

A New Face:

This will convert the SPEED only in to MPH. The distance and trip will still

be in KPH. This costs about £20 plus fitting.

The Chip or Converter:

Fitting this CHIP / Convertor will convert the SPEED, DISTANCE and TRIP in

to MPH. This process will also de-restrict the cars top speed which is set

at 112MPH, due to Japanese law.

We have fitted loads of these Chips and have not had a single complaint. We

buy our converters / chips off "Far East Services". These chips are not

cheap, costing £100 inc. VAT. But they are the best and are used by MAIN

DEALERS who sell GREY IMPORTS. It is the cheaper chips which may cause

problems.

Thank you very much

Tooko"

Which is OK, I guess.

But I heard a scary story here about someone having probs with Sahil in Nottm and a dodgy Z (with connections to Veilside)

Now..... Im in Nottingham and was wondering if I go over to Veilside in Leeds and check this Z out.. if anyone would be local enough to help me out on inspection.

I would gladly pay for your time and furnish you with gallons of your favourite Belgian lager...just waiting for the call from Veilside as to when the Z gets off the boar, so to speak...

Thanks to anyone bold enough to get to the end of this ramble.

Glen.

stay far away from them, there have been noting but bad reports, i actually thaught they went under...

Glen,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Do not buy from Veilside, They are sometrhing to do with Sahil motors (Check previous posts from me) even if they say they are not it was weird how the car I returned to Sahil motors with £2,000+ worth of work need doing it to make it road legal was on sale 1 week later in A1 condition!!

I have lost money to those people and my mate lost his car....Red Audi 80E Sports, I shall explian;

I wanted the 300ZX they had for sale at Sahil, Scott (my mate) wanted my 200SX, Sahil offered to sell the Audi on my behalf to speed up the sale of the 300ZX (great I thought) I bought the Z, Scott had my 200SX and Sahil were going to sell the Audi....Well the Z was a nail and I returned it, He said he would take it back to Leeds, Asked about the Audi and he said to me it was being sold tomorrow and the finance would be paid off (there was a bit of money over, about £150-£250 to give me back) but I came back home with no car to use, Scott still had the 200SX, he let have it back to use and he went and bought a Focus (I know, I know!) We both thought the finance had been sorted and left it at that, 3 months later Scott had call from finance wanting to know why he had not paid?

I called Sahil Motors, Told them what was happening and they said they would sort it, 2 weeks later still no joy so I called Trading Standards, They had no Sahil Motors as a registered company!!

I called them again, Mobile number no good, Called the house number, Spoke to the guy's parents....I said I would contact the police if the matter was not resolved in 1 week, Guess what they changed the home number.....

So I thought I would do some digging and to my suprise Veilside and Sahil are link (relations I think) they new about Sahil Motors and when I mentioned all the problems and the Audi they went all nasty and told me they knew nothing about Sahil or the guy that owned it, they never sold him a 300ZX (to sell to me) They never had one back from them in faulty condition, I said well you have it for sale on your site and you say it's in A1 condition but it needs £2,000+ work doing to it, He then dropped himself in it when he said we have had the work done........

......I rest my case, Theives and lier's.....

...Please nobody be as stupid and nieve as I was....

...Now I feel a c**t...And before you say, The police won't touch it with a barge pole, Long arm of the law not long enough to catch some...

:o(

Matty.

Eeekkk thats a nasty and unsavourary tale and no mistake:(

Sorry to hear these things and I know I read someone here had a nightmare with Sahil... bad luck dude, what shed selling wankers:(

Thanks for the sound advice my friend.

  • 3 months later...

that's when you should've gone to radio shack to get phone tapped recorders for evidence, then sue smile.gif

i know i protected myself like that once, once I went to this mechanic shop, and I needed just a new alternator, and I jus had my engine tuned up by a friend (lincoln mark7 [my first car]) and this mechanic shop tried to tell me my transmission was going bad, and i needed a engine tune up, within a week of the prior tune up, even though the tune up was'nt recorded on paper, cause my friend's a mechanic but he did helped me out on his spare time so no paper documentation was made.

I got the phone tap recorder, and recorded a conversation on the phone, and turned the tape into the better business bureau, sure enough the shop had an investigation done, and was shut down a month later.

Glen,

I'm in Leeds and would be happy to go take a look with you but they don't sound too good from what others have said...

I've not seen them around - do you have an address for them? I could call in when passing and suss em out. The web site has no contact details from what I can see other than a mobile type phone number. Surely people would want to view the cars before taking things any further? All the pics seem to be taken outside a house which looks very dodgy to me. It's not a problem if the car has a few faults and they sort em under warranty but where's the garage?
