Hi, I've got a pretty bad fuel smell! very noticable when i've turn the engine off and got out. Gues it's a corroded fuel pipe or some thing. Anyone know how much it will cost to replace them?

Hi ringo,

Do a search, you'll find loads of info about tightening the clips or replacing :)

did the search and will try looking for the leak. seems that most times its noticable for the first 10 mins. I can't smell mine at all until i've switched off and got out!

had same problem, follow the pipes from the fuel filter just in front of the battery and tighten all the clips, follow them down as some go into the plenum, mine was the one after the fuel damper, u may have to take off the throttle cable cover to get to them, problem solved, obviously if any need replacing get standard fuel pipe as nissan charge silly prices for a 2 inch peice of pipe, or u could get the braided one from smithys, in the traders forum

I also had a fuel smell, replaced all my fuel lines, new clamps, smell gone..........done forget those 2 little ones over by the fuel pressure regulator and fuel damper.

Hello Mate,

You have to get the talcum powder out, sling it over your fuel pipes when the engine is completely cold, and then have a look after you start it up!

Oo, I didn't think of that. I put Smithy's pipes on and it's better, but not perfect... I think after reading the other thread me battery might have knackered one of the lines to the nearside/below the fuel filter.
