My z runs ok, starts ok and idles at 750rpm, but how can I tell if the spark plugs are not up to scratch? From what I have read, looking at them does not give you any indication due to the fact that they dont deteriorate like normal plugs. I dont know how old they are as they were in the car when I bought it 8 months ago.

 

I have read that you dont ever gap them...is this true ? If it is, then if an inspection reveals that the gap is wider than standard, is that an indication that its time to change them ?

Supposed to be changed at the 60,000 mile service I believe.

If it's not misfiring or soaking at the rev limit then they're probably OK.

What do you mean "soaking at thr rev limit" ?

Found with the plats, if you hit the limiter, then they would foul up and the car would splutter a bit until they cleared again.

Have you had a trader confuse us yet, I have. I think you nearly got a spare Profec E01 at one point :rofl:
