I was just outside the office having a ciggie, when I heard two cars having a tear-up down the road. Saw a black kitted M3 come round the corner with lots of noise, but it was overtaken and blown away by a bight red Alpha Romeo SZ (?!?!) Never seen one before, and it looked pretty good. Anyone know anything about them?

Yup, that's the one! A small coupe. I only saw it for a second as it went flashing past (in a 30mph limit  ) But at least he kicked the shit out the M3! :)

One for sale on Autotrader

Was it this?

That's it exactly! I like it! Looks pretty mean! Do you know if they go well? I see from the ad that it's a 3.0L.

Thanks! And just so everyone else can see what I'm on about.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Think they're starting to look a bit dated myself - and if you think the zed needs tlc, just try running one of those things for a year!!!!

And they're not that quick - he must have tuned it some to beat an M3, unless it was a standard 3 series with M bit's added for looks - plenty of those around!

Killed a real M3 a few weeks ago - guy who works near me. He came round later in the day to talk horsepower - think he might be looking at buying a zed 'for the weekends!!!'

ha, deep joy!

Nice link Matz .

I love Alfas, anyone here got one as your daily car?

Mines a '91 164 V6 lusso, old but sooo reliable - never have to open the bonnet.

Not one spot of rust either, i think they were galvanised.

The SZ looks great , ive never even seen 1 on the road, only 1035 made!

I nearly bought a cloverleaf 164! - nice car, but handled like my old Saab Carlsson (same chassis!) - still I could have made a tidy profit if I'd had the bottle to buy it! - it's nearly a classic now

Isnt the cloverleaf the 4wheel drive one? very rare.

Yeah the handling isnt good, very sloppy lol but i dont drive it hard. Its a great cruiser tho, very quiet even at 100. The chassis' the same as the saab and also Fiat Croma and Lancia Thema.
