When I got my car it had an alarm fitted and the dealer tried to just give me the alarm remote and the regular keys.

I got him to include what I think is the original Nissan 'remote blipper' thing.

It's black with four buttons; a big semi-circular grey one at the top then three smaller round black ones in an up-side-down L shape below it.

I tried pressing some near the car and I think there was a bleep but I'm a bit nervous incase it immobilises the car or something.

So ... does anyone know how it works?

Come on... does no-body know?

If this was the 200SX forum, I'd have had loads of replies by now!

Only joking people!

Without this forum I wouldn't have had the confidence to buy or run the car and the info I've had has on other topics has been priceless.

I've got an original Nissan alarm, but it's only got one button on the remote, so no help I'm afraid.

One option would be to look for a model number on remote (maybe inside) then look for instrutions on the net??

I looked insode for a number but Google didn't know what it meant.

I had a go with the remote but it just seems to beep and turn the interior light on and off.

I think I'll just leave it in a cupboard.
