COULD ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY REAR HATCH(ON THE CAR!! ;) ) WHEN DRIVING ALONG IVE GOT A CONSTANT RATTLE FROM THE REAR. IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN ADJUST THE STRIKER AND LATCH. WOULD PUTTING NEW RUBBERS ON DO THE JOB?? BECAUSE ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY. WORSE THAN LISTENING TO THE WIFE AND THATS BAD ENOUGH........ AND YES,I HAVE TURNED THE STEREO UP BEFORE SOMONE SURGESTS THE OBVIOUS :nono:

Undo the latch lock, and slide it down a little then tighten up.

Keep tightening my catch plate too, but it always seems to work loose again after a few weeks.

 

And switching the caps lock off and on didn't seem to have any affect on the fit of my hatchback!!

I have a similar problem. When going over bumbs the hatch rattles like anything, and when looking through the rear view mirror I can see it physically moving :( and this causes a lot of noise.

 

Is there a permanent fix for this?.
