It looks brighter but that could all be the mind?

Is it still a 55w bulb?

Somewhere on this forum is a mod to upgrade

the h'lights, same as you've done with the extra wire.

Now you can fit 100w bulbs as they are readily available in

the uk.

Have done this to mine, but 100w seem a bit to much,

starts affecting the tickover (uses too much power),

gonna order some 80w bulbs instead.

Hi Sideshowbob

If you have done the H3 conversion, the best bet is to fit either PIAA platinum white bulbs (£38-ish from Demon Tweeks) or log onto

http://www.autostylin.co.uk and buy either Osram or Phillips + 30% 55 watt jobbies (only £14 inc P&P) While you're there order Osram +50% H1s for your main beam....they're dead good

All the above give the light of 80watt bulbs from only 55 watts.

I had PIAAs and fitted Osrams just to try them - they were just as good so I left them in, plus they are way cheaper..... ;)

yes still got the 55w all weather ones they look a bit brighter ?

Been told that you can't get 80w H3 bulbs!

Some guy in the local motorist shop says you can modify

H1 bulbs to fit & they are available in 80w.

Will probably opt for the phillips/osram jobbies though!

opssss, forgot to write on the pics, :nelson: , H3c's on the left (but metal still the same as H3's) and H1's on the right.

Dave

As a matter of interest, if any wants a pair of H3c's bulbs, used, you can have these two, FOC. Let me know and I'll post them to you.
