Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows an easy way of wiring up a remote engine starter inside the engine bay. I would still want the key in the ignition, in the 3rd position. I just want to be able to start the engine without bothering to move from the engine bay.

Cheers

yep, that's the sort of thing I want to do but I have no idea where to connect it (looking for easy wires in the engine bay).

i wouldn't have thought there is an easy way

apart from via the starter motor m8 as mtl said

and if it's a diy job, your gonna have to be careful, it doesn't short out

while your working under there, would make picking your nose in future

a pain with shortened fingers lol

Thats what I'm in the process of doing, only using a remote start kit, and new alarm , also incorporating my shaved door handle kit as well. using one remote fob, SO as soon as I get it sorted I'[ll let you know the best way to do it.

Easy! Look beside the HICAS control solenoids and there's a connector with a single wire going through it. This is the starter wire - put 12v on the wire and hey presto..... :D

I'll try and find a link ;)

Cheers Andy. Do you know if it would be OK to hook up a wire permanantly? Would I do any damge by putting 12v both ways down the connector?
