LOL........which bit exactly do you mean bud? I can post a bigger version of my avatar? Or there is a pic of my rear (oo-er) on the oval exhaust tips thread.

basically, my car hasn't come with exhasut so i'm looking for a close up pic of the rear where the spoiler joins the boot , a full close up rear not the side like your avatar but a rear if u can help!

Matt

do'h i mean hasn't come with spoiler!!! not exhaust! lol

yes mate that does help, what i don't understand is some i see the black from lights going up inder spoiler with nissan and 300zx written on them, does the spoiler have a lip which covers it? or is where that join line where the spoiler ends?

spot on! so the spoiler covers the whole top bit of the boot in the rear, the japan man has obviously removed spoiler and filled the gap up with filler (badly) and resprayed it.

nice one mate, really appreciate that.

Any experience with z's boot's not shutting perfectly ? it's not a crashed car i think maybe something with the catch?

The catch is adjustable - you can move it up/down a little on the slotted bolt hole.

The boot on my car doesn't shut properly at the moment, turned out to be the threads had been stripped on the three bolts that hold the locking mechanism in place.

Bigbscan,

Same thing happened to mine, new bolts and all sorted.

Vijay

yep that happened to me too, some new bolts in, adjusted it properly and now its fine. Do you also find the release lever by the seat doesnt work?

Yep, sounds familiar. If this is a fairly common problem on this car, at least it's very cheap to fix! :)

scary - my bolts went the same way

If ya boot lid is squeaking when going over bumps put some little rubber (computer) feet on your slamdown rubbers to extend them a tad.

Cured my squeaks.

Slightly off topic I know but . . . .
