hi. hope somone can help me.

It all started when my main interior light blew. When changing it there was a spark.i put a new bulb in and it still doesn't work. I checked the fuse and all was ok. That is not the confusing part..... now when i get in the car the light that warns you the doors are open stays on and the digi clock goes off. When i switch the map lights the clock comes on and the light on the dash goes off. Also my stereo now doesn't work. As i said i checked all the fuses and they are ok. Have i damaged a relay somwhere or could i have caused an earthing fault. I cant work it out because the power is at every instrument but it then seems to fade away in about 5 secs. Any idea's????? :cry:

It was ages ago tho, i think the fuse was blown on mine and i just replaced it.

You sure it aint blown? , cuss you've shorted across the interior light.

im going to recheck the fuses 2nite. Ive just been out again and replaced the interior light and tried again. Once again the clock went out and the door open light came on. I also noticed there is a clickingsound from the rear right by the rear seat. Is there a relay there??

yep, that's where the relay for the door/light switch.

cheers Vijay. Do you think i could have damaged the relay. Ive also just noticed that when i shut the door hard my incar phone speaker seems to come on and off. Still no stereo though :cry:

funny that mines just done the same thing interior light not working door light on and a whining noise from the door open the door and the noise goes away relay then!!seems to off happened from trying to wire my new stereo in odd things they have a mind of there own

possibley earth coz this happened when i tried earthing the unit ,i heard the relay in the door is that easy to do and how much iv only had my car a few days and its eatin me wallet!!

mate just alittle confused by your last......r u asking how much do i think the relay is or do you think its that thats knackerd. I've got the guy coming back tomorrow to have a look at what hes done,so ill drop an email to you if its a bad earth. :cry:
