Has anyone got any pics of these on a Zed? Was thinking of changing mine, but would like a look at a few before I spend the money.

Cheers.

Unless you particularly want different pipes, I can't see how changing the exhaust would make it sound much different, probably a waste of money IMO.

well that makes a lot of sense Mike , why did you change yours then  :D

Muppet, I'm saying it's pointless changing the Mongoose exhaust for another after market exhaust, not changing from the stock one

Not thinking of changing the entire exhaust, just want a different style of tip coming from the back box. Just fancy a change. :)

Bigbscan: If you fancy a change, do it, you'll sell you old exhaust on here no probs, hell Jay300zx may be interested.

Bigbscan: If you fancy a change, do it, I did and now I'm a woman.

You see........where I just quoted you and changed it, you have got a mod to actually add something in to my post..........below the belt I reckon! :SLAP:  :nono:

Does this mean I have to put my coat back?

Thanks for the info.

I take it they have a much deeper note than the 'whispering' Mongoose exhaust?

Mongoose exhausts are a pile of crap, they look crap, sound crap and didn't seem to make even a slight bit of difference in performance on my car at all. I chopped the whole system off mine from the turbo elbow back and chucked it down the local tip , Good riddance to it !

LMFAO what a complete load of B0LL0X , the mongoose is probably one of the best made after market exhauts you can get for the Zed without going OTT

I'm sure those huge 6" tail-pipes are going to make it flow loads more

Woah there! IMO the mongoose is great in all aspects except volume.

But when you think about it, with the turbos there and the cats in, there's already a load of silencing in place, without anything else adding to it.

In terms of looks, it's a kind of SS replacement for the original, similar looks and all that. The quality of the finish is also excellent, when I used to commute it (115 miles a day, expensive :( ) you could do througha week of crap weather, clean it on the Saturday and with a little autosol it would come up with a mirror like finish.

Performance wise, it doesnt have the greatest release of power, but its by no means the same as the original.

Oh, and being SS, will last and last and last and last.....

And some people (the last owner) didnt want to change the car much from the original spec and didn't want it to stand out too much.

Me? Just wish it had a bit more presence ;)

Friend of mine had 6x4 ovals made up at powerflow in swindon,

cost £400ish, cat back. Sounds awesome but i reckon they're

too small though!

Still didn't rate the Mongoose at all, I know I've had the misfortune of owning one and am glad I binned it.

I now have a custom made full 416 stainless system made by Longlife with a 25 year warranty. 2x seperate systems straight through from the turbo elbows 3" pipe straight through to 2x 6" backboxes and then up 2x 8" Round Tailpipes (It rocks) looks really radical (Not every bodies cuppa Tea) and growls like a Lion on heat).

If anyone (members) wants to see any piccies of it could they please put the pics up on the site for me, have just sent cheque off to subscribe to membership and can't put any on yet.

I personally thought mongoose sounded quite nice, they have a bit of a throaty rasp to them as well. I guess it totally depend what pipes you have further up the line, i.e. test, cat or cat/test with some silencers.

But at the end of the day, mine and James300's sound much better than a mongoose zorst no matter what test/decat pipes you have :)

I'm still a fan of Super Drager's

fd-instant-vicar_small.jpg Amen to that brother Stuart.

Yep, i'll second that

Mines only single exit though, just can't bring myself

to spend £700 on a twin exit one!
