Hi Mate,

I put mine in a bowl of hot(ish) water with some washing powder and let it soak for 20 mins and then washed it through with the shower, came up like new.

thanks mate ,you must have been talking about a different mesh because ive just done that and now it f***ed fell to pieces. :nono:

Shouldn't have fallen to pieces mate which bit did you wash ? Maybe the detergent agents in what you used were too strong or you used too much. I presume that you are talking about a HKS mushroom type filter ?

Eh? You weren't supposed to use costic soda :D , must have been knackered to start with mate.

it was the hks mushroom! i cant find a site which sells replacments in the uk , ive tried subpower whiich i cant find on there site......

Sumopower's telephone number is 01795 668899. They charged £21 inc P&P. HKS filters are impregnated with a sticky fluid and as far as I know can't be cleaned and reused.
