Type 2 PTU replacing a type 1??

Evening All

 

Just brought a type 2 PTU back from the USA from Courtesy Nissan, (for £104 all in :-). Is it a direct replacement for a type 1? Is it the same sub harness? (Which has 4 plugs on it...)

    I recently fitted a new PTU to my 300. The harness supplied with the PTU has 4 plugs....2 that go into the PTU and 2 that plug into the origional PTU plugs.

    Yeah the exchange rate is good at the moment...thats why i went to courtesy. as for the PTU it fits no problem and has sorted all the cutting out/rough running problems i have had with my 300.

    Bought the mk 2 PTU ages ago now,no problem it just plugs in,must admit when I saw mine it did make me wonder.
